G Hari
G Harikumar who draws under the nom-de-plume of G HARI was born on 18th April 1949, at Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram as the son of K.Govinda Pilla and C.L.Rajamma.
His popular columns from 1980 include Nagara Rekha in Mathrubhumi Metro(Trivandrum), Natakame Ulakam in Kumari, Green Room in Nana Weekly, Kankettu & Mukharekha in Keralakaumudi,& Maruvasam in Kunkumam.He has also been drawing political cartoons in Malayalam News, Saudi Arabia & 'Oduvil kittiyathu' in Haasyakairali Monthly.
By quirk of fate, G Hari, a BSc(Physics) graduate and P.G.Diploma holder in Journalism. retired as Senior Manager from KSFE Ltd. Post-retirement, he has been fully engaged in cartooning and writing articles and books. On the flip side of cartooning life, Hari who is an author of 6 books and cartoonist-cum-columnist for 40 years was awarded a Gold Medal by National Film Academy, Trivandrum and a Cash Award and Merit Certificate by Shankar's Trust, New Delhi. He has been consistently empanelled as judge for various state level cartoon competitions .
He lives with wife Renuka G. Nair and daughter, Dr.Lakshmi at Radhesyam, Palace Lane, Pappanamcode-P.O, Thiruvananthapuram 695018, Kerala
