Divakaran

Divakaran was born on 12 October 1949 in Kannukkara, Kannur district, to K.K. Achuthan and N.P. Sukumari. The Malayalam cartoon scene has seen many successful cartoonists who excelled in the field of cartoons and later left the field. N.P. Divakaran is one of these cartoonists. Divakaran drew a cartoon in Deshabhimani in 1969, while he was studying at the Polytechnic in Kannur. The name of the cartoon was Sanal. The first box cartoon in Desabhimani, titled Indaman, was drawn by Divakaran. Social cartoons began to be published in Malayala Manorama and other Malayalam publications. For a while, the Manorama weekly published Divakaran's stories from Vadakkanpattu as illustrated stories. Along with drawing cartoons in Gulf Daily News, he also drew cartoons independently in Malayala Manorama, Deshabhimani and Janayugam newspapers. Divakaran is a person with a completely left-wing perspective. Cartoonist Divakaran has been honored with honorary membership by the Kerala Cartoon Academy in recognition of his comprehensive contributions to the field of cartoons. Wife M. Suma. Three children.
