Karthikeyan Pillai who draws under the nom-de-plume of ‘KARTHIKA KATTANAM’ was born on 5th May 1961, at Kattanam near Alapuzha as the son of Bhaskara Kurup and Sarojiniamma. He is married to Chandravally. He has two children, a son named Saroop and a daughter named Kathu
He has a post graduate diploma in Fine Arts. He runs a cartoon column named mollywoodfox.com (online weekly) and box cartoons in Malayalam publications. He has also participated in a state cartoon contest(KSTA)1997. His other interests include writing, Rhyms, satire and naadan paattukal
At present he lives at Puthenpurayil, Kattanam, Pallickal P.O, Kayamkulam (Via), Alapuzha- 690503
