Jayaram (1955-2015)

Jayaram P.P. who draws under the nom-de-plume ‘JAYARAM’ was borne on the 10^th November 1955 at Ezhilode, Kannur  to Madhavan KP and Narayani KP He is married to Ambujakshy . They have 3 children, Arjun, Anagha and Ajan.

A KGTE diploma holder from the Govt. of Kerala,  Jayaram is freelancing in cartoons after retirement as drawing teacher from Kunjimangalam govt. HSS, Payyannur.

In 1983, he migrated to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia , where till 1988, he was staff cartoonist with the English daily, Saudi Gazette. His cartoons appeared both in international newspapers like Washington Post,  Al-Yom Arabic daily, The Dong Karachi as also in Narmabhumy, Keralakaumudi, Varthamanam, Samayam, Yugadarshanam and Madhyamam daily where he freelanced for 18 years. He participated in the Dubai Shopping Festivals in 1996, 1997 and 1998 as caricaturist. Conducted caricature workshops in schools.

Jayaram lives at his permanent address : ‘Madhavam’, Ezhilode P.O., Kannur Dt.

He died at Dubai on  8th December 2015
