Denilal who draws under the nom-de-plume of ‘DENILAL’ was born at Kozhikkode as the son of Kunhi Kannan and Dakshayani. He is a bachelor.
He is a PG in sociology, and a PG in Visual Communication and
Has a Diploma in fine arts. At present he works as a Creative manager.
Apart from that he worked in Indian Express Bangalore as designer/Illustrator, Macmillan Bangalore as designer, and cartoonist for Varthamanam daily
Many of his cartoons have been published in Malayala Manorama, Mathrubhumi, Indian Express, Deshabhimani and Varthaamanam
