Jose Joseph who draws under the nom-de-plume ‘JOSE JOSEPH’ was born on 19th January, 1957, at Upputhara,Kottayam as the son of Late Joseph John Puliyan Kunnel and Late Mariamma Joseph. He is married to Remy Jose. He has two children, Praveen and Shalini .

He has a B.Com degree and a diploma in Multimedia. He runs a regular column named "KAANAAPPURAM" in Malayala Manorama , in its Delhi Edition. He now works as Visual Communication Consultant & Cartoonist
His other activities include the running ‘Poompatta’, a children's Magazine .He is also an Art Director in New Fields, Everest, Lintas, & Rediffusion Delhi
Apart from these he was also a Senior Project Manager (Creative) in NIIT- KSB Division, atDelhi and a a Creative Directorat Escotoonz in Faridabad. He has also worked in Jose & Dave's Animation Academy, Haus Khas and as Art Director in Q2A, as also a Visual Communication Consultant for College of Art, Delhi.

At present he lives at XVIII/255, LARA-149, Asan Lane, Aluva-683101, Ernakulam Dist. Kerala. But his permanent Address is B-702, Thiruvizha Appartments, Block-37, Sector-10, Dwarka, New Delhi 110075.
